CARLISLE, PA – Sadler Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center providing community-based comprehensive primary care, dental care, behavioral health and support services at its facilities in downtown Carlisle and Loysville, announced today its plans to open a new site in Mechanicsburg, PA.
“The Board of Director’s decision this week reflects our commitment to increasing access to integrated, high-quality and compassionate healthcare for both insured and uninsured patients throughout the region,” said Michael Wolf, Chairman of Sadler Health Center’s Board of Directors.
“With a history that dates back to the 1921, Sadler Health Center continues to evolve to meet the needs of the medically underserved and uninsured,” Wolf explained. “We look forward to serving the West Shore Area community as well as celebrating the organization’s 100th anniversary in 2021.”
The site under consideration for Sadler’s Mechanicsburg location is at 5210 East Trindle Road and offers 21,800 square feet of space that will be renovated to serve approximately 4,000 patients in the first year and 8,000 patients in subsequent years. Anticipated services include primary care for pediatric and adult patients, dental care, behavioral health services, insurance enrollment and Medication-assisted Treatment for substance use. The health center will also serve as a COVID-19 response site providing accessible testing, treatment and immunizations. The site is projected to be operational and receiving patients in 2022.
“As we continue to serve patients at our health centers in Perry County and Carlisle, the new site in Mechanicsburg will offer those in need on the West Shore an option to obtain affordable, high quality care while meeting additional need in our region,” Manal El Harrak, Chief Executive Officer of Sadler Health Center, said.
The COVID-19 pandemic has amplified healthcare disparities. The needs of the growing underserved, uninsured, and immigrant populations within Cumberland County substantiates the need for Sadler Health Center to open a site in Mechanicsburg that will offer comprehensive and culturally competent care,” El Harrak added.
