Cyntia brings a wealth of experience from a variety of clinical and community-based settings. She began her career as a job coach with Goodwill Keystone Area, supporting individuals with mental health challenges and criminal records as they reentered the workforce. She went on to serve as a social worker and grievance officer at The Church of God nursing home, advocating for residents’ rights and well-being.
Her path continued at Mazzitti & Sullivan, where she worked as a drug and alcohol counselor, guiding individuals through the process of recovery. Later, at UPMC’s REACCH Program, she served as a case manager and social worker providing comprehensive support to people living with HIV and AIDS.
Cyntia earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Shippensburg University and her master’s degree in social work from Temple University.
Outside of work, Cyntia enjoys reading, traveling, exploring new restaurants, going to the gym and spending quality time with her children. She believes that joy, balance and caring for her own well-being are key to showing up fully for the people she serves.
