CARLISLE, PA – Sadler Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center providing community-based comprehensive primary care, dental care, behavioral health and enabling services at its facilities in downtown Carlisle and Loysville, announced today that Manal El Harrak has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by the organization’s Board of Directors.  El Harrak, who joined Sadler in March of 2015, served as the Interim CEO after spending several years as Chief Operating Officer.

“Manal’s vision for the organization and focus on better serving our patients by enhancing accessibility to quality care made her the ideal candidate,” said Michael Wolf, Chair of Sadler Health Center’s Board of Directors.  “During her tenure as Interim CEO, she demonstrated a deep level of knowledge particularly regarding Sadler’s operations as well as the unique role we play in the Carlisle area.  The Board of Directors is impressed with Manal’s passion and commitment to our organization, and looks forward to working with her as she leads Sadler forward ensuring the long-term fulfillment of its mission to serve the health care needs of our patients and the larger community,” he added.

El Harrak joined Sadler Health Center in 2015 as the Director of Quality and Risk Management.  She built a robust quality program that proved successful in delivering positive patient outcomes.  From 2016 to 2019, she served in the role of Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer.  Her strong commitment to the success of the organization, and her keen focus on team development allowed her to build strong teams and fine tune processes leading to higher employee efficiency and improved customer service.

“I was grateful for the opportunity to serve as Interim CEO and am humbled by the Board’s recent decision,” El Harrak said.  “With our talented employees and dedicated leadership, my vision for Sadler includes improving health outcomes, expanding services, and enhancing access to affordable, high quality care for our community.”

“It is a privilege to work with such a committed team who cares so deeply for the health and well-being of our patients,” El Harrak added.  “I look forward to working collaboratively with our staff and other community organizations to serve the Carlisle region and support Sadler in its journey of excellence in service delivery and access to high quality affordable healthcare,” El Harrak said.

A 2009 graduate of the University of Illinois in Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering, El Harrak earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from Shippensburg University.  Her interest in the healthcare industry stemmed from the belief that Industrial Engineering models can be applied to complex processes in health care, creating opportunities for improvement.  Her goal is to create patient-centered processes that deliver excellent quality care safely and efficiently, and optimize resource utilization to increase the responsiveness to customers’ needs.

A resident of Carlisle, El Harrak obtained a Green Belt certificate in Lean Six Sigma and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling and hiking.
