Lab Testing Services for Your Health Needs
Sometimes, the biggest part of feeling better is just knowing what’s going on inside your body. That feeling of uncertainty can be tough, but getting clear answers is the first step toward a healthier you.
Think of lab testing as a way for us to get a look “under the hood.” It gives you and your provider a detailed picture of your health so we can create a plan that truly works for you.
At Sadler Health Center, we are proud to offer our on-site lab services. A certified diagnostic and screening lab is available to perform tests ordered by Sadler’s providers to support the diagnosis and subsequent treatment for patients.
Testing done at Sadler includes, but is not limited to:
- COVID testing
- Urinalysis
- Hemoglobin (Blood Count) & Hemoglobin A1C
- Strep/Mono/Flu/RSV
Affordable Options for Your Lab Tests
Cost should never be a barrier to getting the health answers you need. That’s why we offer sliding fee discounts for lab services – and many other health care services – based on household size and income. It’s part of our commitment to making quality care accessible for everyone in our community.
Why Lab Testing Matters
Your body often sends quiet signals long before you notice any symptoms. Lab tests help “listen” to those signals, giving your provider a chance to spot small changes in your health early. A routine blood test, for example, can reveal important information about your heart, kidney and liver function.
Lab tests aren’t just for when you feel unwell – they’re a key part of preventive care. Regular screenings can help catch conditions like high cholesterol, diabetes or even early signs of cancer when they’re most treatable. Your results give your provider the insight needed to guide you toward a healthier lifestyle or recommend the right next steps.
Think of lab testing as the starting point for your health conversation. The numbers and findings give you and your provider concrete information to make informed decisions, moving from guesswork to a clear plan for your wellness journey.

Chronic Condition Monitoring
Living with a long-term health condition is a continuous journey, and our lab services are here to support you every step of the way. For patients managing conditions like diabetes, thyroid issues or heart disease, regular testing provides a clear picture of how things are going.
A simple blood draw can show how well a new medication or therapy is working, helping your provider determine if your treatment plan needs adjustment to better support your body. Regular monitoring gives you more control over your condition and confidence in your care.
Rapid Results When You Need Them
Waiting for test results can be stressful. Because our lab is right here at Sadler Health Center in Mechanicsburg, the whole process is streamlined for you. There’s no need to drive to another location – you can complete your blood tests and other lab work during your visit.
This also means your Sadler provider gets results quickly, and you can view them in real time through the patient portal – helping you get answers faster and start care without delay.
Preparing for Your Lab Visit
We want your lab visit to be as smooth and comfortable as possible. For certain tests, your provider may ask you to fast (no food or drink except water) for 8-12 hours beforehand. Fasting ensures the most accurate results.
Staying hydrated is important – drinking plenty of water can make the process easier and more comfortable.
Be sure to discuss any medications you take with your provider. Your provider will advise whether to take them as usual or wait until after your test. If you have any questions, just ask – we’re here to help you feel prepared.
