Sadler Health Center launches a $4 million fundraising campaign to expand services

The Ready…Set…Grow campaign will help Sadler expand its services into Eastern Cumberland County. Sadler, a Federally Qualified Health Center, offers accessible, affordable, comprehensive, culturally competent care to meet the needs of the underserved, uninsured and immigrant community within Cumberland and Perry Counties.

We are Ready. . . With 100 years of service to the community, we are a health care provider of choice that offers integrated and comprehensive primary health services, dental services, behavioral health services, and additional support services.

We are Set . . . Research revealed compelling facts that directed us to a location on the West Shore. Eastern Cumberland County alone is home to 147,358 people:

  • Low-income residents, 25,917, account for 18% of the total.
  • More than 88% of these individuals were underserved or had no access to care.
  • In 2018, an estimated 5,711 people in this part of the county alone were uninsured.
  • 1,000 Sadler patients travel to Carlisle for primary care.

We purchased an existing building in Mechanicsburg, but it will require renovations. The campaign will ensure the future of excellent accessible care.

Help us Grow . . . A successful completion of our campaign will have many benefits. The new Center will increase services to communities currently having no access to care. Patients currently being served at our Carlisle Center will receive the same services closer to home. This will free up capacity to serve even more patients residing in the greater Carlisle community. In addition, opening in Mechanicsburg will mean:

  • Fewer emergency room visits.
  • Help navigating complicated insurance enrollment and benefits.
  • Healthier, successful employees in the workforce and students in schools.
  • Training opportunities for medical and dental assistants.
  • And more.

“With a location on Trindle Road, it is the perfect place – in the heart of the biggest need. It is a professional medical mall that patients will be proud to visit for all their health care needs. It will be a central hub for comprehensive services,” said Manal El Harrak, CEO of Sadler Health Center.

You can make this happen!Gifts – large and small – to this campaign will break down the barriers to access and open the West Shore Center doors to a healthier community for all. Pledges are accepted with payments spread out up to three years.
